YouTube swarm of ghost artists found churning out identical Suno AI songs across hundreds of channels

User @ayushr recounts vibing to a song on YouTube, only to find zero trace of it: Shazam showed the artist as "chill vibes", Google returned nothing, Spotify plays numbered just 300, and every track on the channel sounded the same — all generated by Suno AI.

He realized YouTube hosts an entire swarm of ghost artists mass-producing near-identical songs across hundreds of channels with no footprint, concluding that AI music has quietly become indistinguishable from human work to casual listeners.

In the thread, @weswinder adds that these tracks are already playing in coffee shops and that AI lyrics give themselves away with painfully generic rhyming schemes; he argues AI music, like AI writing, feels passable at first but becomes exhausting once you recognize the identical patterns.
