Sabi raises $50M at $600M valuation to let you prompt AI and robots with your thoughts

Startup Sabi announced a $50M raise at a $600M valuation to build the most seamless interface to AI from your thoughts — letting users prompt software (AI) and hardware (robots, drones) with just their mind.
The investor story is dramatic: Andrew Arruda spotted founders Rahul Chhabra and Abanerjee building Sabi in early May 2024, but the company wasn't incorporated and had no bank account. Just 3 hours after incorporation and banking were set up on May 13, 2024, he met Rahul, and within 20 minutes @maniacvc signed and wired Sabi its first check.
The roots go back to NeurIPS December 2023, where MindEye (arXiv, May 2023) was spotlighted: it showed fMRI brain activity can be mapped to any high-dimensional latent space, enabling image reconstruction via generative models — even retrieving the exact original image among similar candidates. That work seeded the thought-to-AI interface thesis.
