Google Cloud launches unified enterprise agent Gemini with persistent cloud execution

At Google Cloud's Gemini at Work event, Google announced Gemini, a single universal agent for work built on three principles: a unified agent handling Q&A, knowledge work, content creation, and coding from one prompt box; web-based access from any device with third-party integrations and optional headless operation; and persistent cloud execution that maintains a single memory of business context. The announcement was also mocked for its confusing naming — "Gemini by Google Gemini for Google by Google Cloud's Gemini."
