Agent Arena ditches pairwise voting, scores agents via five signals from real sessions
arena · x · 2026-10-10
Arena.ai's Agent Arena replaces pairwise preference voting with causal tracing, extracting five signals from real long-horizon agentic sessions on Arena. Key signal: Confirmed Success only counts when the user explicitly answers "Did this complete your task?" — polite acceptance, silent endings or mid-session abandonment score nothing. Other signals include Praise vs Complaint labeling per turn, with scores aggregated from live traces of corrections, errors and feedback into model-level rankings.
