TRAE hands-on: a five-step workflow for directing a fleet of coding agents
dotey · x · 2026-10-10
After testing the merged TRAE release (unified entry for requirement breakdown, plan generation and delivery), the author shares the full methodology he applied to his open-source project baocut: (1) have the agent draft a technical design doc and iterate on it with you before touching code; (2) build high-fidelity prototypes/UI with mock logic first — cheap to change, minimizes rework; (3) only implement once design is locked, enabling near one-shot features; (4) let the agent self-verify via browser on the Electron app. Covers system design, coding, validation and release end-to-end.
