Fleuret challenges 'LLMs can't be creative' camp: what about AlphaZero?
syhw · x · 2026-10-10
Researcher François Fleuret asked those convinced that 'LLMs only interpolate, never extrapolate, and can't be creative' how they explain AlphaZero. syhw (Guillaume Lample) replied that he doesn't share that view anyway, framing the disagreement as closed world vs. open world.
