Meta Muse daily downloads are a meaningless metric, argues analyst with 3B-user distribution
RihardJarc · x · 2026-10-10
Rihard Jarc argues that judging Meta's Muse app by daily download numbers is pointless: Meta owns distribution channels reaching 3B+ users and can dial that lever up or down each day. Since Muse is compute- and infra-heavy, Meta deliberately throttles user flow to keep agent latency and experience from degrading.
The metrics that matter, he says, are retention, ratings, product quality, and engagement. If the product is good, Meta could brute-force it into a 1B-user product through distribution alone.
