OpenAI quietly pushed 722 math manuscripts (grouped into 372 result families) to GitHub overnight, produced by a model nobody outside OpenAI can use; @ldjconfirmed tallied results covering 92 of the 500 most important open problems. Unlike the earlier Navier-Stokes hype cycle, this drop came with only a thin blog post — dubbed a "slop grenade." Mathematicians are split on the quality, and ThursdAI's guests discuss why.
