UK to legislate against non-compete clauses, freeing AI startups to hire talent

UK PM announced legislation to ban non-compete clauses so they no longer hold back workers or block startups from hiring needed talent. Options to tackle other restrictive practices like excessive notice periods will also be brought forward. MP Kanishka Narayan framed it as giving people the freedom to move to better jobs and helping the most promising businesses, including AI firms, grow.
