a16z announced it is leading TypeSafe AI's Series A. The startup reportedly has just 32 employees, implying a per-employee valuation of roughly $234M at a $7.5B valuation.
a16z's statement says the future of SaaS and software is bright, and AI should make software more powerful rather than merely recreate existing software. The firm praises founder/CEO Diogo's vision: "the true bitter lesson is not about building a new being, but returning the power to builders" by giving them primitives of intelligence.
