Pine Computer launches AI-native cloud computer, claims 1/25 model cost
Shruti_0810 · x · 2026-10-10
Pine Computer launched a cloud computer built for AI: tasks come in via API and the AI plans and works across browser, files, and shell. The thesis is that models waste intelligence compensating for human-oriented computers; the product acts like "epoll for AI perception," pushing change notifications from browser, apps, display, and OS instead of repeated polling.
Official numbers: 2–5× faster, 1/25 the model cost; on SaaS-Bench v1.1, GPT-5.6 Luna on Pine Computer scored 78.3% on checkpoints vs 74.3% for Opus 5 with Claude Code. Waitlist is open — note these are the vendor's own claims, pending independent verification.
