Pine Computer launches invite-only beta: a cloud computer built for AI, 1/25 the model cost
socialwithaayan · x · 2026-10-10
Pine Computer opened invite-only private beta for a cloud computer built for AI rather than humans, claiming 2–5× speedups and 1/25 the model cost: GPT-5.6 Luna scored 78.3% checkpoints on SaaS-Bench v1.1 versus 74.3% for Opus 5 with Claude Code.
The thesis: capable models waste intelligence compensating for computers designed for humans. Tasks come in via API and the AI plans across browser, files, and shell. The key rethink: instead of repeatedly polling "what changed?", the environment pushes notifications from browser, apps, display, and OS — described as "epoll for AI perception." Built from analysis of millions of real execution traces.
