Anthropic launches Managed Agents public beta: lead agent orchestrates up to 1,000 agents
ClaudeDevs · x · 2026-10-10
Anthropic announced the public beta of Claude Managed Agents dynamic workflows, a new multiagent orchestration model where a lead agent writes a plan executed in phases across many agents, combining results at the end — scaling up to 1,000 agents per run.
In a benchmark, with 70 bugs planted in a 116k-line codebase, a single agent found 14, 15 and 27 bugs across three runs, while a workflow consistently found 66 each run. The team suggests starting with scoped tasks and increasing complexity, since dynamic workflows can consume a lot of tokens.
