Peter Gostev shared results showing Google's Astra leading Claude Opus 15-4 in chess, including a 5-game win streak. The twist: neither is a vanilla model — both 'learned' from 200 games against Stockfish, and Opus ended up 360 Elo points higher than Astra, yet got crushed in actual play.
