Syren Opens Early Access: Video Written as Code, Rendered Live
alexvoica · x · 2026-10-09
Syren has opened early access, pitched as a breakthrough in video generation: an app that turns a prompt or existing materials into a finished video, built live and refined through chat.
Three differentiators:
- Its own engine: Syren's agent writes the video as code and a proprietary rendering engine plays it back live, handling motion and advanced 3D graphics — a new approach to video generation.
- Live preview and your own material: describe the video, or add documents, images, videos or a connected source such as Notion, and watch it take shape instead of waiting on a long generation step.
- Speed: the video renders in real time as it is built, with lower latency and better token efficiency than similar products.
The author says he has used it for a week and calls it one of the most impressive products the team has built.
