Skip complex prompts: use the SCQA method and let the agent fill in the 'A'
daniel_mac8 · x · 2026-10-09
danielmac8 shares a prompting approach picked up from @swyx's podcast: instead of writing complex prompts, structure the context with the classic SCQA framework.
- Situation: the context
- Complication: the problem to solve
- Question: the decision to be made
- Answer: a proposed solution
The trick is to write the first three parts and usually let the agent supply the 'A' itself — structured context works better than intricate prompt engineering.
