Token-saving trick: finish Claude Design prototypes, export HTML, then maintain locally via Claude Code
dotey · x · 2026-10-09
dotey shares a trick to save tokens when prototyping with Claude Design: iterate the design on the Claude website until you're happy, export it as HTML, then have Claude Code treat it as a local webpage for further updates—no longer depending on the Claude Design site. A quoted user notes a single product design could otherwise burn a week's worth of tokens. He also links a live demo of his own prototype (localhost:4331 via npm run dev:designs), and cites BaoCut, an open-source AI video agent with an editable timeline for transcription, subtitles, translation, dubbing and cutting.
