Stack Overflow 2026 survey: Sentry leads AI agent observability at 26%, LangSmith trails at 17%
zeeg · x · 2026-10-09
The Stack Overflow Developer Survey 2026 (AI section, n=2,277) shows Sentry leading AI agent observability/prompt/eval tooling at 26.0%, followed by LangSmith (17.3%), MLflow (15.2%), Langfuse (15.2%), Datadog LLM (11.9%), and Weights & Biases (10.7%). The analysis suggests established monitoring vendors benefit as AI observability converges with conventional application monitoring, while purpose-built eval tools like Arize AI, Braintrust, and DeepEval cluster around 5.8%. The survey also asked which tools developers want to adopt in the next 6 months; Sentry's CEO publicly flagged the number as room to grow.
