Nonprofit builds digital Da Vinci museum mostly with Claude: 14 of 15 machines coded by Opus

A German nonprofit launched the first wing of its browser-based Museum of Ages — a digital Leonardo da Vinci museum, free to visit, in 7 languages, with most of the code written by Claude.
Highlights
- Zoom into cracks in the Mona Lisa's paint, mirror-flip Leonardo's mirror writing, start 14 of his 15 machines yourself, and explore his last house as it stood on 10 October 1517.
Claude Code workflow
- One coordinator session hands tasks to agents, each in its own git worktree under a brief naming the files it owns; 30+ checkers run before anything lands.
- The repo's manifest has 147 records naming the model behind each piece; 17 name a second model (including the 15th machine, the parachute).
- Museum texts are drafted by Claude from a sourced research file, with human review for English and German; translations of Leonardo's own words are machine-translated, blind-checked twice, and labeled as unreviewed by humans.
- Key trick: a separate Claude instance blind-judges before/after screenshots and the better one ships.
