Cloudflare adds on-demand CPU/memory profiling with flamegraphs for Workers
ritakozlov · x · 2026-10-09
Cloudflare announced on-demand CPU and memory profiling for Workers and Durable Objects. Developers can profile a running Worker in production and inspect interactive flamegraphs in the dashboard, or download a pprof file for deeper analysis. A single CLI command samples the profile (cf workers versions profile latest ...), and the Observability tab supports choosing duration and version. The feature targets pinpointing the exact function causing memory leaks or CPU bottlenecks, which logs and aggregate metrics can't do; the post also suggests handing the pprof file to an AI agent to dig into.
