Reflex teaches Unitree G1 humanoid to catch human-thrown boxes
DJiafei · x · 2026-10-09
Researchers introduced Reflex, a framework enabling a Unitree G1 humanoid to catch boxes tossed by humans. As the author notes, "humanoid fighting looks easy, humanoid catching is hard" — the robot has roughly one second to perceive, predict, and move its whole body. Reflex runs entirely on onboard RGB-D, targeting real-world logistics like unloading trucks and moving packages.
