Developer weswinder points out Claude Code only keeps session transcripts for 30 days by default, then wipes them forever. Adding "cleanupPeriodDays": 3650 to settings. preserves them for 10 years. danielmac8 argues historical agent sessions may be valuable data to feed future ASI.
