Law & Order Season 26 Premiere Takes On Power-Mad AI CEOs

NBC's long-running legal drama Law & Order opened its 26th season with "Ghost in the Machine," an episode centered on the murder of a senior engineer at AI company Advanced Alignment and a power-hungry AI CEO. The CEO, Chuck Klein, is played by Vincent Kartheiser and is a clear nod to Anthropic's Dario Amodei.
WIRED's review: entertaining, but the show offers nothing new about AI — the detectives are comically clueless, and the episode mostly rehashes dangers the public already knows, only sharpening the stakes in the final act.
