Full paper released: UC Irvine's teleoperated Unitree G1 construction site study
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-10-09
The full paper for the previously shared UC Irvine experiment is now available: a seated operator teleoperates a Unitree G1 on a real construction site using Meta Quest 3 and foot pedals, with NVIDIA GR00T handling whole-body control. Tool-carry succeeded 100% of the time (72s vs 4s by hand), roller painting 80% (149s vs 47s), with every session logged as demonstration data for future training.
