Mathematician slams peers rejecting OpenAI findings over 'entitlement'

Responding to a thread on the monastic culture of math departments, a theoretical-math alum of Penn (1970s) says he has been bluntly critical of mathematicians who reject OpenAI's findings simply because they "didn't ask for this work to be done," refusing to apologize for calling out their sense of entitlement.
