PiChat: An Autonomous Agent Living in Your iPhone with Durable, Resumable Execution
aigclink · x · 2026-10-09
PiChat chains together an LLM, agent extensions, durable execution, and iPhone Shortcuts: when a specific notification arrives (a message or app push), the agent automatically runs the corresponding shortcut. Example: tell it "when the weekly meeting notification fires, enable Do Not Disturb and mute, then restore after" and it just works.
Under the hood it's powered by PiDurableKit, whose core traits are durability and background autonomy — conversations and tool calls are committed to storage before execution, so even if iOS kills the app mid-turn, reopening resumes from the breakpoint without losing progress.
