User Finds Two New Earth-Sized Planet Candidates in NASA TESS Data Using Claude Code

Inspired by a Reddit thread where someone found a new planet with Claude Code, the author spent a morning building a pipeline with Claude Code to search NASA TESS data on nearby stars scanned at low cadence. The pipeline surfaced two previously undocumented exoplanet candidates, including TIC 370612437 in Cygnus — another example of AI coding tools enabling citizen science.
