OpenAI banned accounts behind two influence operations: Russia's "Dark Clark" campaign spread disinformation across Latin America, earning the first-ever category 5 (of 6) severity rating in OpenAI's reporting history, while Iran's "Bogus Bylines" used seven fake journalists to place nearly 100 articles in online outlets worldwide.
