Microsoft 365 Family to share Copilot AI benefits across members, but OneDrive cut to shared 2TB

Per an email to subscribers seen by The Verge, Microsoft 365 Family and Premium plans are changing: Copilot and AI usage can now be shared with up to five household members (previously only the primary holder), individual AI limits become a single pooled usage allowance with optional top-ups. In exchange, OneDrive storage drops from 1TB per person to 2TB shared across the whole plan, effective after the first renewal following May 2, 2027.
