OpenCode bug: Copy drops separators between message parts, task prompts merge English words
sepiabrown · ghdev · 2026-10-09
A bug report against OpenCode (v1.18.35) describes two issues in built-in paths:
- Copy loses separators: Message Actions → Copy concatenates visible text parts with no separators, so a two-part message shown as Read-only medium / research. lands in the clipboard as Read-only mediumresearch. instead of keeping the paragraph break.
- Merged words in task prompts: Task delegations were observed with English words already fused in the generated arguments, apparently to shorten prompts. The transport preserves the text; the author argues explicit guidance should discourage removing word spacing.
Reproduced on Windows (PowerShell, Windows Terminal) without any plugins; the issue has 4 comments.
