GitHub Copilot to add intelligent local model routing to save AI credits

GitHub announced that Copilot will soon support intelligent local model routing, the next step in its Project HydraFusion vision. When a task is best suited to a local model, Copilot will automatically route it there, helping users save on AI credits. The reposter calls it one of the biggest announcements of the year for local AI.
