AlexTensor · x · 2026-10-09
Per the policy text cited by Andrew Curran, Anthropic's Usage Policy effective November 12, 2026 will make "sustained and needless abusive or cruel behavior toward our models" a violation. Reposting it, bradenkeith called the move deeply problematic, arguing that treating AI as anything more than software — assigning it personhood leading to deity — is the biggest threat AI poses to humanity. The change has sparked heated debate over whether vendors are granting models moral standing.
