Anthropic reportedly eyeing $2T IPO valuation despite $42B losses, analysts say $150B
SumitGup · x · 2026-10-09
A viral post claims Anthropic lost $42 billion in 2025 on just $4.6 billion in revenue, yet is pushing ahead with an IPO seeking a $2 trillion valuation — dubbed the "most ridiculous IPO of 2026" and "an unprecedented test of investor gullibility" by analysts who peg fair value around $150 billion.
It also cites estimates that the combined IPOs of Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceX could total $5.2 trillion — more than 45 years of prior tech IPOs (Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, etc.) combined. Note: these figures are third-party claims, not officially confirmed.
