Nebius launches spot auctions with H100s at $0.87 per GPU-hour

Nebius has introduced dynamic spot pricing for its preemptible VMs, and spot auctions are live with H100s available at roughly $0.87 per GPU-hour at the time of posting.
- A pricing algorithm reads available capacity and real-time demand signals to set spot prices automatically, avoiding both profit-maximizing highs and demand-chasing lows
- PVMs target non-critical workloads like data processing, experimentation, and short fine-tuning jobs; only a small fraction of jobs get interrupted by capacity reclamation
- For the provider, the mechanism keeps idle compute productive, squeezing more AI value out of the same energy input
