His 16-Month-Old Call: Claude Code Shifts Agent Workflows and API Spend to Anthropic
majidmanzarpour · x · 2026-10-09
majidmanzarpour revisits his 16-month-old prediction: despite liking Cursor's Agent, he argued Claude Code would disrupt vibe coding because of its reliability — no network timeouts, no failed tool calls, no file editing issues, no 25 tool call limit.
The sharper business point: by plugging into most IDEs, Claude Code shifts agentic workflow and API spend directly to Anthropic instead of IDE vendors. He said he'd gladly switch back if Cursor matched that reliability — a call that has largely aged well.
