Google announced that a prospective study of AMIE, its medical conversational diagnostic system, has been published in The Lancet after nearly three years. AMIE is the first patient-facing conversational diagnostic tool of its kind studied prospectively in a real-world clinical setting. Findings: patients who chatted with AMIE before appointments felt more confident and better organized their thoughts, and physicians reviewing the conversation data got more time back for collaborative care and shared decision-making.
