A prospective feasibility assessment just published in The Lancet, with involvement from Google DeepMind, tested patient-facing conversational AI in real urgent care settings. Both patients and physicians rated the AI's diagnostic accuracy and other metrics favorably — a rare real-world, forward-looking validation rather than a retrospective or benchmark-only study.
