Cloudflare Workers can now sit next to your PlanetScale database region, edge FUD debunked

A developer discovered they can place Cloudflare Workers right next to their PlanetScale database region, debunking the recurring FUD that "the edge is far from your database".
As the quoted comment shows, Workers can be deployed in the same region as the database. The resharing note argues that just as the edge is close to your users, it can also be close to your database — and Cloudflare is one of the few platforms that lets you build actual systems that can run anywhere, making edge architectures viable for latency-sensitive database workloads.
