OpenAI's new Decisions API with image input tested on a MuJoCo robotics policy
RexDouglass · x · 2026-10-09
A developer reports (unverified) that OpenAI released a Decisions API based on GPT-6 Luna supporting image inputs. He previously ran Jev as a real-time robotics policy in MuJoCo by splitting each update into two calls—decide the next action, then decide arm/gripper motion—using text-encoded geometry and contacts. He now redoes the experiment feeding actual camera views.
