Anthropic launches OSS Scanner: free AI security scans for open-source projects
The Verge AI · rss · 2026-10-09
Anthropic launched OSS Scanner, a free security scanning service for open-source projects. Opt-in projects get "thorough, periodic security scans by our strongest models at no cost," which could surface potential vulnerabilities sooner.
The trade-off: reports are fully model-generated with no human review or triage — enabling faster, more frequent scans, but meaning findings may be incorrect or invalid.
