2.5 hours fully local, plus Codex computer-use to fix a remote-control slip
gregmushen · x · 2026-10-09
The fully-local pipeline (no cloud APIs) ran about 2.5 hours. A twist: the author started the job in Cmux but forgot to set it to remote, so he couldn't monitor progress from dinner — so he had Codex use computer use to enter the Cmux terminal and run /remote-control. A neat demo of both local-model feasibility and using an agent to operate a terminal.
