Former OpenAI researcher balesni says current colleagues are confused about what to believe, afraid to speak up, and worried their personal phones will be searched for messages to him and third parties.
He worries this climate of fear means OpenAI may be cutting corners on safety behind closed doors. Former safety researcher Peter Wildeford amplified the post with a simple "sad."
