Pollen's Microduck robot gets custom board: 3h battery life, CPU drops from 114°C to 60°C
huggingface · x · 2026-10-09
The Pollen team built their first fully custom SBC for the Microduck quadruped, replacing the prototype Radxa sandwich board. In an autonomous walk/sit/stand endurance test, the new board delivered 3+ hours on a 2600 mAh battery, cut average current from 1.13 A to 0.82 A (28% less), and dropped peak CPU temperature from 114°C to 60°C with zero throttling. Everything ran on the first revision within a day, marking a milestone toward shipping.
