Ex-OpenAI employee says she was pushed out under suspicious circumstances, warns staff to speak up

Former OpenAI employee Jasmine Wang says they were not the first pushed out of OpenAI under suspicious circumstances and won't be the last unless employees take a stand. She warns those still at OpenAI: raise concerns or work with outside safety groups and you could be next, without being told why — "you can't build AGI safely if the people closest to the risks are afraid to speak." Scholar S. Ó hÉigeartaigh added that too many matching stories from ex-employees exist for it to be chance, calling for heavy regulation of OpenAI.
