CrowdStrike: South Korea bank hacks may be work of one person using ARTEX, DeepSeek, GLM, Grok and Claude Code

Citing a CrowdStrike report, Andrew Curran notes that last week's cyberattacks on some of South Korea's biggest banks may have been carried out by a single person. The attacker reportedly combined an open-source AI penetration-testing tool, ARTEX, with DeepSeek v4.1-Flash, GLM-5.3, Grok 4.6 and Claude Code. Commenters quip it's the "first person one-billion-dollar company" — a single individual wielding AI to cause damage at unusual scale, a sobering signal for security teams.
