Robotics dev: LLM users keep spawning new robot libraries instead of improving existing ones
kscottz · x · 2026-10-09
Robotics developer kscottz says he sees projects daily from people who asked their LLM to 'help me build a new open source robotics library' instead of improving existing code. His advice for robot vibe coders: if your LLM tells you to build a greenfield abstract 'safety layer' or a 'standard' for robots interacting with the world, you're in the slop zone — lurk more, and just write a simple package or plugin instead.
