Danielle Fong: we should be able to interrogate the agents that solved open math problems
DanielleFong · x · 2026-10-09
Danielle Fong argues people should be able to directly use the agents that solved open math problems, ask them what they did, and learn from them.
She adds that recent AI math papers read 'practically psychedelic': Lean compiles, agents seem convinced by their own reasoning, human+agent loops are even improving bounds — yet the documents feel eerily similar to unverified 'AI psychosis' outputs from months ago.
