Investor Kimberly Tan congratulated mortgage-automation startup Vesta on its Series B. Unlike most AI companies that wedge on top of existing systems of record, founder Michael Yu insisted on rebuilding the mortgage stack from the ground up. The results: Vesta's AI agents now handle 40% of tasks involved in mortgage origination, and revenue is up 12x.
