57% of US voters say government isn't taking AI risks seriously, Reuters/Ipsos finds

A Reuters/Ipsos poll of 4,506 US adults finds broad voter concern about AI governance:
- Nearly 60% of registered voters (including a third of Republicans) say the administration hasn't taken AI risks seriously; 54% say the same of Congress
- 62% believe AI could spiral out of control; 84% see it as a threat to American workers
- 80% of Democrats and 61% of Republicans back stricter AI regulation
The White House pointed to a new task force focused on keeping America leading in technology.
