OpenAI researcher Jasmine Wang says she and safety colleagues Mihaela Balesni and Tomek Korbak were fired last week, with one stated reason: accessing an executive's email. Former colleague Vikram Mani voiced support, citing several past OpenAI departures under similarly murky circumstances, and urged OpenAI to own the procedural missteps rather than quell dissent via carefully crafted internal communications. OpenAI has not publicly detailed its side.
